Love is but a song we sing
And fear’s the way we die.
You can make the mountains ring
Or make the angels cry.
Though the bird is on the wing
And you may not know why.
C’mon people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another right now
Some will come and some will go
And we shall surely pass.
When the one that left us here
Returns for us at last.
We are but a moment’s sunlight
Fading in the grass.
C’mon people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another right now
If you hear the song I sing
You will understand (listen)
You hold the key to love and fear
All in your trembling hand.
Just one key unlocks them both
It’s there at your command
C’mon people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another right now

The purity of this concept is what every ‘religious’ icon was saying. Have a nice day!

Wow! Wayne Youngblood, a member of The Youngbloods, is still singing and ministering! He has a ministry in Florida, and also has a website, wayneyoungbloodministries.com! Read and see see and hear what he’s been up to since 1967!

This is probably my favorite song of all time. I am not as religious as I was when this song first came out, but I find the message has just as much or even more meaning for me now than it did then. So c’mon people, smile on your brother and your sister no matter who they are, because we are all in this boat together and we shouldn’t waste our time frowning.
